The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live our lives and celebrate important milestones like weddings. For many couples, the traditional big fat Indian wedding is no longer an option, and they’re opting for intimate court marriages. As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing one such wedding on a client’s apartment terrace during the lockdown.
The client had planned a grand wedding, but due to the pandemic, they had to cancel everything and opt for a small court marriage. But they didn’t want to miss out on capturing special moments, and so they approached me to capture their special day in a candid and intimate way.
The client’s apartment terrace was a perfect location for the wedding, with beautiful natural light and a stunning view of the city. The client had decorated the terrace with beautiful flowers and candles, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere.
The wedding was a simple affair, with only a few family members and close friends in attendance. But the love and happiness in the air were palpable, and I felt honoured to be a part of such a special day.
As a wedding photographer, my goal was to capture the intimate moments and emotions of the day in a candid way. From the nervousness and excitement of the bride and groom to the tears of joy from the family members, I made sure to capture every special moment. One of the most beautiful moments of the wedding was when the bride and groom exchanged vows on the terrace with the city skyline in the background. The moment was so special and emotional, and I felt grateful to have captured it in a way that the couple could cherish forever.
The lockdown restrictions meant that the wedding was a simple and intimate affair, but it was still a day full of love and happiness. As a wedding photographer, it was an incredible experience to capture such an intimate and special day for the client. It was a reminder that sometimes the simplest things can be the most beautiful and that love always finds a way.
